Eligibility:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Contestants must have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the range commands and safe handling of the associated shooting equipment for each discipline in which they shoot.<\/span><\/p>\n

Safety:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Safety is a primary consideration at all times during the match. Any violation of safe shooting will be grounds for participant disqualification. All leaders, parents, and guests will be expected to obey safety rules.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 All firearms are to be considered loaded at all times.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 The range commander and range officers together will follow the standardized range commands<\/span><\/p>\n

Awards:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a jackpot shoot. A portion of each entry fee will go towards cash awards for each age division in each discipline. We hope to add more awards from donations as the shoot approaches.<\/span><\/p>\n

The top intermediate overall will revive a Forever Wild Elk Hunt from<\/span><\/p>\n

the\u00a0Skyler Gabel Group.<\/span><\/p>\n

Contestants are responsible for bringing any items they need in order to compete during the event.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Air Rifle<\/span><\/p>\n

Required equipment: Eye protection, ammunition<\/span><\/p>\n

Optional equipment includes: Shooting mats, kneeling rolls, spotting scopes, and stands or binoculars.<\/span><\/p>\n

.22 Rifle<\/span><\/p>\n

Required equipment: Hearing and eye protection; ammunition<\/span><\/p>\n

Optional equipment includes: Shooting mats, kneeling rolls, spotting scopes, and stands or binoculars.<\/span><\/p>\n

Air Pistol<\/span><\/p>\n

Required equipment: Eye protection, ammunition<\/span><\/p>\n

Optional equipment: Spotting scope or binoculars.<\/span><\/p>\n

.22 Pistol<\/span><\/p>\n

Required equipment: Hearing and eye protection; ammunition<\/span><\/p>\n

Optional: Spotting scope or binoculars<\/span><\/p>\n

Archery<\/span><\/p>\n

Juniors Required equipment: Arm guard, quiver (bow, back, belt, or ground quiver), arrows (at least 6)<\/span><\/p>\n

Optional equipment: Spotting scope or binoculars, eye protection, you may bring more than 6 arrows as this year you will be shooting on concrete.<\/span><\/p>\n

Intermediates & Seniors Required equipment: Quiver (bow, back, belt, or ground quiver), arrows (at least 6)<\/span><\/p>\n

Optional equipment: Spotting scope or binoculars; arm guard; eye protection, you may bring more than 6 arrows as this year you will be shooting on concrete.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shotgun<\/span><\/p>\n

Required equipment: Hearing and eye protection; Factory load ammunition only; Shell bag or vest\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Muzzleloader<\/span><\/p>\n

Required equipment: Hearing and eye protection; Patches; Black powder\/synthetic black powder; Balls; Bullets, Caps.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
