Ages are based on the youth\u2019s 4-H age (age as of Jan. 1st of the 4-H year: The age the youth was on Jan. 1, 2022). This includes both large and small market animal sellers.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Youth Quality Assurance<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">All Intermediate and Senior youth who require quality assurance will be taking the online course.\u00a0 This course does cost $12.00.\u00a0 IF this creates a hardship for a family, scholarships are available to assist with the cost.\u00a0 We feel that the quality of this Quality Assurance curriculum is strong and will provide youth with current information and knowledge that will help them as they raise their livestock projects.\u00a0 We will continue to have face-to -face Junior Quality Assurance classes.\u00a0 The juniors need that face-to-face interaction with other youth in their project area, as well as they get to know the Educator who is teaching that class.\u00a0 If a family struggles with internet at their home and they are unable to get online to complete the course, please call Brittany to schedule a time to complete the course in our office.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Listed below are the directions to complete the course through zSuite.\u00a0 Please call the Extension office to get a coupon code from Brittany.\u00a0 Do not pay directly to the YQCA website.\u00a0 Paying through the YQCA website makes it difficult for us to track.\u00a0 After the class, you will need to provide a copy of the certificate of completion to our office.\u00a0 I have also attached the class curriculum map from YQCA.\u00a0 It is listed directly above the class the 4-H age (age as of January 1, 2022) of the child who should take that class.\u00a0 If you have any questions or concerns, call our office and we can guide you through which classes your child needs to take and answer any additional questions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>Livestock Import Policies<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">As you are purchasing your animals this spring please keep the following things in mind, especially if you purchase animals from outside of Wyoming.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The Wyoming Livestock Board has policies in place regarding the importation of animals into the State of Wyoming to comply with federal regulations.\u00a0 They can be found at\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wyoming4h.org\/laramiecounty4h\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Livestock-Import-Rules.pdf\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Livestock Import Rules<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">.<\/span><\/strong> Please review these recommendations <u>before<\/u> purchasing your animal from out of state so you can work with your buyer to ensure you comply with Wyoming regulations.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;\">Cats<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff; font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A member will learn to appreciate animals and develop a sense of responsibility that comes from an animal&#8217;s dependence on its owner.\u00a0 The member also will learn about care, nutrition and feeding, cat grooming, basic cat ailments and diseases, immunization and sanitation, different cat breeds, body parts, showmanship, and career opportunities in animal science.\u00a0 A young cat or new kitten can be used.\u00a0 Member must own and care for a cat. The deadline for Cat ID&#8217;s for County Fair is July 1, 2022.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uwyo.edu\/4-h\/projects\/animal-science\/cats.html\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;\">Cats<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: comic sans ms, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #ff0000;\">Changes to 2022 Laramie County Fair Cat Show<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: comic sans ms, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">A cat I.D. form is required to be turned in for all cats being shown at the 2022 Laramie County Fair.\u00a0 Also remember that all youth must be dressed in long sleeves before being allowed to show.\u00a0 Cat IDs are due July 1, 2022.
