4-H Committees

Laramie County 4-H has volunteer committees that are instrumental in supporting our 4-H program. These committees function to support various project areas and facilitate educational and competitive opportunities for youth. These committees are looking for new parents to volunteer to help out in these areas. Below are some activities that each committee participates in. If you are interested please contact the Extension Office for more information or feel free to attend a meeting.

Horse Committee

Plan educational activities for horse members, solicit donations and purchase awards for horse show, help facilitate horse show, complete horse safety testing for all horse members. Meets the 3rd Monday of the month at the LCCC Pathfinder Building, Room 419 at 5:30 p.m. *or as announced. 

Beef Committee

The Beef Committee stands as the Laramie County 4-H Beef Superintendent(s). They will meet on the fist Wednesday of each month at 6pm in LCCC PF 415. Please contact knagy@uwyo.edu for more information. 

Shooting Sports Committee

The Shooting Sports Committee holds practices for all shooting disciplines, plans fundraisers to support the committee and those project areas, plans and facilitates County Shoot. They meet as announced at the LCCC Pathfinder Building, room 419 at 6:30 p.m.

Livestock Sale Committee

The Livestock Sale Committee plans and facilitates the 4-H livestock sale at county fair and offers scholarships to youth for educational opportunities to support their livestock projects. They meet on the second Tuesday of the month at the LCCC in the Pathfinder Building, room 419 at 6:00 p.m.

Benefit Bash Committee

The Benefit Bash Committee plans and facilitates the annual 4-H Benefit Bash, by working together to find advertising methods, food choices, volunteers, and entertainment. They meet once a month at the LCCC Pathfinder Building, room 419 (location may vary) at 6:00 p.m. from October to April. Check the calendar, updates, and the previous month’s minutes for meeting dates.

Livestock Education Committee

The Livestock Education Committee provides educational opportunities for 4-H and FFA members. Please contact the 4-H Office at 307-633-4383 for more information.
