4-H In The Classroom

4-H in the Classroom provides education in science, technology, engineering and math in a classroom setting while developing students’ life skills such as leadership, decision making, problem solving, responsibility and generosity.

Currently, two initiatives are offered:

Junior Master Gardener: Developed by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, this comprehensive curriculum is composed of a teacher/leader guide and a youth handbook. With eight instructional chapters, classrooms move through the hands-on activities while meeting academic standards. Teachers and students are invited and encouraged to partner with Goshen County Master Gardeners. Supplies and guidance provided.

ChickQuest: Teachers deliver science, technology, engineering and math content in the context of positive youth development while reinforcing life sciences and academic standards. Developed by Ohio State University Extension, this curriculum includes a teacher guide and youth workbooks.  Eggs, incubator and hatching supplies provided.
