Registration is now open for this year’s Tween Babysitter Retreat – held April 10-12 at Haven on the Rock!
Tweens, 11-13, will be CPR/First Aid certified and will learn everything about being a responsible and successful babysitter!

THE 2015 WESTERN REGION 4-H LEADER FORUM going virtual! Join 4-H volunteers from across the region and country to discover new ideas and connect with 4-H volunteers and staff from across the Western Region.
Three e-sessions will be presented on the following dates (at the Goshen County Extension Office)

Thursday, February 12: Widening the Circle: Special Connections (featuring Temple Grandin!)

This just in! Check the “Scholarship” Tab for the application for the Barbara Ochsner Memorial Scholarship! This is a new scholarship for seniors graduating in 2015!
JOIN THE FUN by joining Goshen County 4-H! 4-H offers over 60 4-H Community Clubs in nearly every community! Clubs are led by adult volunteers in partnership with youth. In 4-H Clubs youth practice leadership, citizenship, democracy, communication and decision making. Through project work youth learn about topics that interest them and responsibility and time management.

Here are some important dates and information for September and October:
September 8 – Record Books are due by 4pm to the Extension Office. Leaders will “pre judge” all books and submit those for competition to the Extension Office.
September 9 – State Leaders Conference call at 6pm at the Extension Office.
September 10 – Harvest Carnival Planning meeting at 6pm. Meats Judgers practice for National Contest at 6:30 pm. Both at the Extension Office.
September 14 – Junior Leader meeting at 3pm at the Extension Office.
September 16 – 4-H Council meeting at 6pm at the Extension Office. Nominations due at 4-H Council meeting.
September 24 – Sale Committee Meeting at 6:30 pm at the Extension Office.
October 7 – Club Officer Books Due (Secretary, Treasurer and Historian)
October 19 – Achievement Day at 5 pm at the Rendezvous Center! This is a carry-in meal. More details to come.

Fill out the Nomination Form and return it to the Extension Office by September 16! Most awards are presented at Achievement Day while others are presented at the Leaders Banquet.
