4-H Members planning to exhibit market animals at the Goshen County Fair are REQUIRED to complete Quality Assurance.
Last Chance Quality Assurance will be held June 3rd at the Extension Office. Quality Assurance MUST be completed by June 15 and appropriate records must be submitted to the Extension Office.
All rabbits being exhibited at the Goshen County Fair should be tattooed. Tatoo numbers should be recorded on the Rabbit ID Form kept at the Extension Office. Tattooing for all rabbits will be Friday May 27 at 5 p.m. at the Fair Grounds. Forms are available at the Extension Office.
All breeding livestock (and dairy goats) must have a Breeding ID on file at the Extension Office by June 1 in order to exhibit at the Goshen County Fair. Forms are available at the Extension Office!
Jr. Superintendent App 2016
The Youth Show Committee is accepting applications from the senior age division 4-H and FFA members interested in assisting Fair Superintendents. Responsibilites include assisting in the running, hosting and management of shows, contests and events throughout the County Fair. Jr. Superintendents work closely with Superintendents and the Youth Show Committee. Applications are available from the Extension Office and are due May 15 by 4 p.m.
A mandatory organizational meeting will be held on Thursday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Extension Office for those interested in joining the Robotics Project Club. The county-wide project club will meet weekly to build and program robots.
Goshen County 4-H Council has purchased eight (8) Lego Mindstorm kits for 4-H members to design and program.
This meeting will cover the expectations, events and opportunities of this exciting new project!
a $35 commitment fee will be charged to all members participating on this team.
Members may enroll in the Robotics project until May 1 for a $10 late fee.

Join other Goshen County 4-H members for a creative evening painting, Wednesday, May 16th at 6 p.m.! 4-H Junior Leader and artist, Taryn Platt, will lead the 4-H’ers through a step-by-step painting session. Participants will leave with a completed work of art! Light refreshments will be provided! Cost is $5 which will help to cover costs! RSVP by May 11th!
During this fun-filled weekend 4-H Youth, ages 11-14, will be certified in CPR/First Aid and ready to start their own babysitting business!
Topics include Entertainment, Health & Nutrition, Safety, Diaper Changing and more all in a rustic camp environment amidst campfires and hikes!
